This felt faced and cloth doll is by Norah Wellings. Sold in Great Britain in the 1940s, these dolls were called Jollyboys and were sold on cruise ships as a souvenirs. This little guy is from the R.M.S. Queen Mary. He has a felt face and cloth body with a sailor suit of navy blue and a collar of lighter blue. He has a rope around his neck and a cute little sailor's hat marked R.M.S Queen Mary.
He stands approximately 8 1/2" tall and is in very good vintage condition. He has some light soiling on his hat. A tag sewn on the bottom of his foot reads, "Made in England Norah Wellings".
A cute little guy and a great gift for any doll collector.
