Whimsical nursery rhymes come to life in this cardboard cut out set. This set contains four magnetic art pieces, wonderfully illustrated -- leaving the childrens' rhyme ringing in your ears. The exceptional illustration makes these pieces really come to life.
I believe the artwork was done by one of the "House Of Rock" artists who produced those great late 1970s, early 1980s era grammar, math, science and civics songs that accompanied the fabulous animation (...think "Conjunction Junction" and "I'm Just A Bill"). These were shown, usually, on Saturday morning cartoons in-between shows like "Scooby-Do" and "Fat Albert" . Perfect to decorate a baby nursery or child's room; classroom or in a vintage display.
Each piece is die cut and has magnets on the back for making various scenes. The colors are vibrant and the detail wonderful in these vintage teaching tools.
Measurements in inches (approximately) :
Hey Diddle Diddle Cat and Dog - 4 1/4 x 2 1/2
Cow (jumping over imaginary moon!) - 1 3/4 x 4
Little Dish and Spoon (running away) - 1 1/2 x 2 3/4
The set is in very good vintage condition with some very mild bumping on the edges and very light scuffing. Magnets are affixed to the back of each piece and are in working order.
