This salesman sample calendar art was used to take to prospective clients. The salseman would present various sizes and styles of calendars from which a client could choose.
This lovely embossed vintage calendar features a green checkerboard background with pink flowers cascading down. At the center is an Art Nouveau style woman with flowers in her hair surrounded by an intricate purple basket weave design. This calendar girl is reminiscent of some of the Gibson girls popular at this time. A circle of gold and green swirled design frames the central figure.
This was intended as a wall calendar and would have a ribbon or string to hang it from through the small opening at the top. Measuring 10 1/2 inches long and 5 inches wide, it is in good vintage condition with some mild spotting in a few places. The back is marked "No. 17459 Class-C" in pencil it is marked "MA.PT and 7 1/2-5-4-1/2-4" which are not the measurements available for this particular calendar art.
This wall hanging will be shipped sandwiched in between heavy cardboard and mail First Class shipping unless otherwise requested.
