Michael Jackson Dress Up Set from Colorforms. This set is the original and not the "Collector's Edition" from the 1980s. Pop music icon Michael Jackson licensed his image to Colorforms for this vintage toy set.
Back in 1951, Harry and Patricia Kislevitz were experimenting with positioning shapes cut from a thin vinyl sheet on their bathroom walls. The young couple discovered that not only did the vinyl cling to the semi-gloss paint, but that it could easily be re-positioned over and over again. And so Colorforms was born. This set is unused as the figure has never been popped out and the clothing is still on its original cards. The illustrated insert is present showing all the outfits you can put Michael in. The box reads, "Dress up Michael Jackson in lots of exciting Colorforms. Plastic outfits that stick like magic! Contain Plastic play pieces, stand-up lay figure and instruction booklet".
The outside of the box is in good vintage condition with some light scuffing on the left corner and some small stains on the bottom of the cover (see photos).
A great retro toy for the toy collector or Michael Jackson fan.
