This is a fourth edition of the "Young Folks' Library" entitle "Merry Maker". Published in 1945 by the Auxiliary Educational League it contains parts of many wonderful classic tales. Also included are color and black & white illustrations from amazing artists.
Chapters and authors include: The Cheshire Cat and the Lobster Quadrille by Lewis Carroll, A Rustic Drama by William Shakespeare and New England Weather by Mark Twain.
The book is 379 pp and contains twelve color plates as well as many pen and ink drawings throughout. It has tan board covers with an embossed color illustration on the front and orange title. It is in good vintage condition with some light bumping at the corners. The pages are clean and the binding is tight.
