What a sweet cup and saucer. Made by Trimont China, this square cup and saucer feature a green base with a pink orchid design. The collectible, bone china tea cup was made in Occupied Japan, dating it to the 1940's. The footed cup has a gold rim and gold swirled handle. The saucer has a scalloped, gold trimmed edge and a matching, hand painted flower design. The bottoms of both pieces are marked "TRIMONT CHINA Made in Occupied Japan".
The cup stands approximately 2 3/4 inches tall from the top of the handle to the bottom of the feet and is 2 inches square at the opening. The saucer measures 3 1/4 inches square. This little tea party piece is in excellent condition. There is a scratch on the back that seems to have been from the original manufacturing (see photos).
A sweet little cup and saucer to add to your china cabinet or feature at your next tea party.
