The sides of the box has a single fan on the short sides and a double fan design on the long sides on a textured background. The fans on the sides are decorated with various floral designs.
The interior of the box is lined with black lacquer wood. The hinged box measures approximately 4 1/4 inches long x 3 1/2 inches wide and stands 1 5/8 inch tall.
The bottom of the box has a diamond mark and is marked "Made In Occupied Japan". American occupied Japan from August 1945 until April of 1952.
The vanity box is in good vintage condition with some mild wear to the silver. A beautiful little Asian box for your vanity table or jewelry.
