"Jingo Django" was written by Sid Fleischman and illustrated by Eric Von Schmidt. The book is a stated First Edition and was published by Little, Brown and Company in Boston. It's copyrighted 1971.
The dust jacket flap tells of a story of a boy who likes to make up stories. In true Dickens style there are orphanages, mean chimney sweeps, gypsies and the like. The line-drawings that accompany the story are fantastic caricatures worthy of an Ron Dhal extravagance.
The book is complete with its dust jacket. The book has orange cloth covers with silver title and brown illustration. The dust jacket has a mylar sleeve and is in very good vintage condition. There is some tape residue on the inside front and back cover. The first page has some staining that might have come from the brown end papers but the rest of the pages are clean and the binding is tight.
