"Little Orphan Annie And The Haunted House" is the famous little orphan cartoon character in her second book. Written and illustrated by Harold Gray this edition was published by Cupples & Leon Co. and copyrighted by The Chicago Tribune in 1928. There is an interesting forward to this book in which Annie "speaks" to the reader explaining why the first of her books was so difficult to buy -- "...we're not kickin' as thousands an' thousands more books got sold last year 'n any of th' wise-budgets an' ground-hogs" and promises there will be plenty of this book to go around.
The book has illustrated board covers with blue cloth binding. The spine has some tearing at the top from storage The cover has some staining (see pictures) as well as some scuffing. The binding is tight and the pages clean. There is minimal yellowing of the pages for a book this age.
I will be happy to combine shipping on multiple orders.
