"The Red Eagle - Being The Adventurous Tale of Two Young Flyers" was written and illustrated by Alexander Key. This first edition was published by The Wise-Parslow Company and copyrighted in 1930 by Volland Publishing. Volland is one of the premier publishers of the 1920's & 30's. They used the highest quality papers and inks and were the original publishers of the Raggedy Ann & Andy series.
This fun vintage book has everything a kid wants -- great colorful illustrations and a daredevil tale of the early days of flying machines.
This hard-cover book is in excellent condition. The green cloth boards have a copper-gilded illustration and title. The endpapers feature a wonderful full-color illustration of the "Airplane View Of Jameson Field and Surrounding Country". The book is 95 pages and includes "AVIATION Terms" in the back. I'm not sure this book was ever read. The pages are pristine and the binding is tight.
This fabulous book is perfect for children's book collectors as well as fans of airplanes and aviation.
