The Long-nosed Goblins
The Rabbit in the Moon
The Tongue-Cut Sparrow
...and many more.
The dust jacket reads, "Stories that delight the children of one land are sure to delight children everywhere. In the present volume are collected twenty of Japan's most-loved children's stories, told over and over again in many versions to the never-ending delight of children, generation after generation."
The book is 120 pages in length and is in excellent vintage condition. The book has salmon colored boards with an illustration of bamboo and the title printed in black. The book has a gift inscription on the inside end-paper dated 1986. The pages are otherwise clean and the binding is tight. The dust jacket is in excellent condition as it was stored with the book in the slip case. The slip case has some staining and mild bumping on the edges. The cardboard slip case is illustrated with a whimsical illustration printed in blue.
A great addition to any children's book collection or a fun gift for any little ones.
