"Surprising Pictures For Little Folk" by Ernest Nister was originally published in 1892. This reproduction of the antique Victorian era book features wonderful illustrations that revolve from one picture to another when the tab is rotated.
The first page features a little boy pushing his sister on a swing and revolves to a mother serving tea while her son and daughter look on. The rhyme reads:
It's fun to pass the time away
By swinging on a sunny day
Or going on a picnic, too-
I don't know which is best, do you?
The book features five revolving pictures and was published in 1983 by William Collins Sons & Co in London. ISBN number 0-00-138572-0.
This unusual and very collectible book is in excellent condition. All the pictures turn easily and the pages are clean. The illustrated board covers have minimal wear of any kind with an original gold price label in pounds. The book measures approximately 9 inches by 8 3/4 inches and will be shipped Media Mail unless otherwise requested.
A wonderful and unusual book to add to any Victorian book collection.
