This antique cookbook is in fair condition and it's amazing it has stood the test of time. The book has white cloth boards with a black illustration and title on both the cover and spine. There is soiling and scuffing on both the cover and spine with a split along the bottom of the spine and some chips on the cover illustration and spine. The glossy illustrations are in good condition with only some minor wear and light yellowing around the edges. The text pages have considerable yellowing and are somewhat brittle if handled roughly. This collectible book has illustrated end-papers with a gold leaf motif. There is some separation of the end-papers and the gutter of the spine which affects the pages minimally at through the first 40 or so pages but the binding is intact throughout. Please see photographs for more condition details. The cook book measures approximately 9 3/4 inches by 7 1/4 inches and is 600 pages in length! It will be shipped Media Mail unless otherwise requested.
An amazing piece of US history and the progression of the White House and its function and management. This collectible book would be an amazing addition to any cookbook collection or US Presidential library.
