This "Family Circle Magazine" is dated June 1949. It features a little girl holding a dachshund. The war was over and housewives were setting up house in the newly created suburbs. Family Circle was on any "good" wife's bedside table. This vintage magazine contains short stories, mid century home decorating ideas, helpful parenting tips and of course fabulous vintage advertisements for everything from Peter Pan Peanut Butter to Spam.
Content categories with an example of titles Include: Fiction (Open For Love) Features (Vagabond Vacation being one article) Your Children and Your (Nursery Decorating You Can Do) All Around The House (Bridal Forecast: June Showers) Fashions and Needlework (Summer Pattern Parade) Departments (Teen Scene)
This vintage periodical is in good condition. There is some scuffing and light wear on the cover and a crease on the top right corner. Someone has clipped out a photo from the first page, which advertises Woodbury Facial Soap. Otherwise the pages are clean and the binding is tight. This old magazine measures approximately 11 1/2 inches by 8 1/2 inches and will be shipped First Class Mail unless otherwise requested.
A fabulous look back on our homes and families just after World War 2.
