"Faultless Starch Library" was published by the Faultless Starch Co of Kansas City. Included in this lot are "Red Riding Hood Vol 33", "Biddy And Paddy Vol 34" and "The Tuttles' Fourth of July Vol 36". This set of advertising childrens book were premiums when mom bought her starch for dad's collars and her petticoats. This vintage paper ephemera is part of a complete set of 36 children's stories. The company produced these from the 1890s through the 1930s. What is fun about these now, is that they engaged in "product placement" throughout these little pamphlets. Wherever possible, a character is doing the wash and what's on the table or shelf? ---FAULTLESS STARCH! The back of the advertising booklets feature illustrations of the Faultless Starch box.
These little booklets are printed in orange ink and have line illustrations scattered throughout. The booklets measures 5 inches by 3 inches each and are in good vintage condition. The paper has yellowed and is slightly brittle. The color is bright and the staple binding is intact. "The Tuttles'" booklet has some chipping along the top edge and a tear to the first staple. These collectible booklets will be packed with a cardboard backing and shipped First Class Mail unless otherwise requested.
