Tiffany and Co were one of the world's foremost artisans in stained glass and lamps in the country. "The Lamps Of Tiffany" was written by Dr. Egon Neustadt, is a highly collectible book. It contains over 300 plates (238 in color) depictin Louis Comfort Tiffany's artwork and craftsmanship in every lamp he produced. More than 40 of the photographs are rare and come from the original Tiffany Album. Workis range from the one-piece Favrile globes to the delicate, picturesque Wisteria lamps--each made up of more than a thousand bits of glass.
This book was issued in cooperation with the Neustadt Museum of Tiffany Art and copyrighted 1984. From the dust jacket: "It will provide collectors, dealers, and museums with the first and only complete, accurate, fully documented and lavishly illustrated compendium of the remarkable lamps designed by the Rembrandts of his field, Louis Comfort Tiffany.
The over-sized, hard-cover book, is complete with its dust jacket and is in excellent vintage condition. It is 224 pages in length and has a complete index. The dust jacket has some very minor scuffing. The title page has an inscription written in ink. The pages are othewise clean and the binding is tight. The book measures 13 1/2 inches by 10 3/4 inches and will be shipped Media Mail unless otherwise requested.
