"New Calendar Of Desserts - 365 Answers To The Daily Question "What Shall We Have For Dessert"", was written by Elizabeth O Hiller and published by P F Volland Company.
This delightful vintage dessert cookbook gives you not only a dessert recipe for every day of the year, it contains helpful hints and a full index. It comes in its original box and has a green silk cord for hanging.
The years begins with Chocolate Ice Box Cake on January 1st and takes you through July 4th with Cup Custard, whipped Cream all the way to December 31st with "My Grandmother's Dessert". The last part of the calendar features, "Pudding Sauces", and index and advertisement for other recipe calendars published by Volland.
Each page is beautifully framed with a green, illustrated border. The gilded cover pictures an Art Deco design of a woman serving a dessert in an arched frame.
This sweet recipe calendar comes in its original box and is in very good vintage condition. A woman's name is written in pen on the front cover (very discretely) and there is a crease along the left edge of the cover (see photos). The box is in good/fair condition with tears at two corners, scuffing and paper loss along the edges. The book measures approximately 11 inches by 5 1/2 inches and will be shipped Media Mail unless otherwise requested.
A lovely, vintage book perfect for a housewarming gift or to add to your vintage cookbook collection.
