"Think Small" was a promotional book distributed by Volkswagen dealers in the 1960s. This wonderfully book on vintage cars is a collection of articles and cartoons about Volkswagen automobiles written and illustrated by some of the smartest and wittiest men of the 1960s. The pages are full of automobile humor," thinking small" humor and just plain fun. In the first article, entitled "What's So Funny About A Volkswagen?", written by Herb Valen weaves a tale of a Manhattan business man who drives his VW Beetle into his apartment building and up the elevator.
These books were a huge hit and became part of the Volskwagen art and collector's mystique.
Artist and writers include:
Charles E. Martin
... and many more!
