"Woodstock Craftsman's Manual" was "provoked" by Jean Young. Published by Praeger Publishers, this is a first edition copyrighted in 1972. This how to book is a real outpouring of the Hippie generation.
The vintage craft book includes chapters on: Candles Crochet Organic leather (before the term "organic" was widely in our vocabulary) Embroidery Pottery Home Recording Beads Weaving Tie Dye & Batik Silkscreen Macrame
Each section includes hand drawn illustrations as well as black and white photographs of finished projects or examples of the instructions.
A perfect crafter's gift, this vintage BOHO book is in very good condition. The soft cover book has some mild scuffing and wear along the cover's edges and some lightly bumped corners. The interior pages are clean and the binding is tight. Several of the last pages have some dog eared corners on the bottom. The book measures 10 3/4 inches by 8 1/2 inches and will be shipped Media Mail unless otherwise requested.
A great craft book for the historian as well as anyone interested in the renewal of folk arts in today's technical world.
