"Raggedy Ann In The Magic Book" was written by Johnny Gruelle and illustrated by his son Worth Gruelle. This delightful tale of Raggedy Ann, Raggedy Andy and their friends is beautifully illustrated with full color illustrations as well as black and white line drawings. Published in 1939, this first edition was copyrighted by Johnny Gruelle Company and is thus a first edition and highly collectible.
Raggedy Ann and her brother Andy fall into a magic book where they have adventures involving several characters, weiner trees, and natural springs of strawberry soda, surrounded by strawberry ice cream. This fun collectible children's hard cover book has a paste down illustration on the front cover and a blue cloth spine. The book is in good condition with some scuffing, bumping and wear on the front cover. The inside pages are clean with the exception of the end papers where some small child has drawn a picture of a person in pencil. The book measures 9 1/4 inches by 6 1/2 inches and will be shipped media mail unless otherwise requested.
This fun and enjoyable kids book would be a great addition to any Raggedy Ann and Andy collector or to add to your juvenile literature collection.
