"The Adventures of Tintin Prisoners of The Sun" was written and drawn by Herge and published by Methuen Children's Books, London. Copyrighted 1980, this vintage comic book, or graphic novel (as we call them now), has all the suspense and intrigue we've come to love in these stories.
It is the fourteenth volume of The Adventures of Tintin. The story was serialized weekly in the newly established Tintin magazine from September 1946 to April 1948. Continuing the story begun in "The Seven Crystal Balls", this story tells of a young reporter Tintin, his dog Snowy, and friend Captain Haddock as they continue their efforts to rescue the kidnapped Professor Calculus by traveling through Andean villages, mountains, and rain forests, before finding a hidden Inca civilization.
The book has illustrated board covers and is in very good vintage condition. There is some light scuffing of the edges and bumping of the cover's corners. The binding is tight and the pages are clean. (B2)
