"The New York Times Cook Book" was edited by Craig Claiborne and copyrighted 1961. This vintage book, complete with its dust jacket, is a collection of nearly 1,50 recipes for all occasions, selected from more than 10,000 that appeared in The New York Time. Each recipe was prepared and tested by the Times food staff and kitchens. This vintage cookbook is beautifully illustrated with 16 pages in full color and 133 black and white photographs, many of which accompany the recipes and cooking procedures. A perfect gift for foodies, this vintage book contains traditional American recipes and selected recipes from twenty different countries. The vintage cook book contains a complete index with essential cross-referencing.
"The New York Times Cook Book", has its original blue dust jacket. The dust jacket is in good/fair condition with tearing on the front's top edge, and small tears on the back. There is scuffing on the jackets front cover where the gold "Cook Book" is. The hard cover book has blue cloth boards with green block title and decorations on the spine. The book is inscribed on the inside front page reading, "Happy Cooking Love, Nina 10-9-81". The inside of the book is in excellent vintage condition. The pages are clean and the binding is tight. There are a few small stains on the edge of the pages that is visible only when the book is closed.
