Uncle Wiggily Longears is the main character of a series of children's stories by American author Howard R. Garis. He began writing the stories for the Newark News in 1910. Garis penned an Uncle Wiggily story every day (except Sundays) for more than 30 years, and published 79 books within his lifetime. The books featured work by several illustrators, including Lansing Campbell, George L. Carlson, Louis Wisa, Elmer Rache, Edward Bloomfield, Lang Campbell and Mary and Wallace Stover.
This vintage children's book is in good condition. It has tan cloth covers with a full color, paste-down illustration on the front cover by Lang Campbell. There is an inscription on the inside frontispiece dated 1929. The title page has a small 1" tear at the bottom. The inside pages are clean and minimally yellowed and the binding is tight.
An amazing rare and out of print book for any Uncle Wiggily collector.
