This collection of childrens' literature is 208 pages in length and includes a section for "The Curious: Or Recreations Scientific and Otherwise" at the back. This illustrated book is in good/fair condition. The blue cloth covers are unusual in that there are paste-down illustrations on both the front cover and spine which have been enhanced with silk screened details. The books has gilded titles on the front and spine. There is some fraying of the seam on the outside bottom and top of the spine and a spot of lifting on the spine paste down illustration. The interior has some cracking at the binding in a few places but the book is solid and all pages and covers are secure. All the tipped in illustrations are intact with the exception of one illustration which has one corner lifted.
An amazing and hard to find antique book that will delight the childrens' book collector or little reader.
