Wild Bill Hickok is pictured on the front of this vintage writing tablet. The illustration shows this cowboy in red, black and white. A caption below the picture reads:
WILD BILL HICKOK "Aces and eights is a dead man's hand" ever since the fateful August afternoon when Wild Bill was shot in the back while playing poker. The famous Marshal's stiffening fingers revealed hi two pair -- aces and eights.
There is a smaller illustration at the bottom of the pad showing Wild Bill slumped over at the poker table while other cowboys look on.
This unused writing tablet is in pristine condition with a tight binding at the top and unused lined pages. The western themed stationary measures 8" x 10" and has a black paper tape binding at the top.
