Agent Nine and the Jewel Mystery", was written by Graham M Dean. This vintage mystery fiction book was part of the Bob Houston, Agent Nine series published in the 1930s. Bob Houston is a young clerk in the War Department Offices. His uncle is a Department of Justice Agent and when some important radio secrets disappear, Bob helps his uncle to recover them. This is the second in the "Agent Nine" series. Graham M. Dean wrote adventure tales, including the "Agent Nine" books and the Howard Kent series about a West Point Cadet.
This vintage book is complete with its dust jacket. The book has orange cloth covers and is in very good condition. The pages have yellowed as these books were made for the 10 cent stores and didn't use quality paper. The pages are clean and the binding is tight. The dust jacket is in good condition and has great full color graphics. There is some light scuffing and a tear at the top of the dust jacket's spine from shelf wear. These books were originally marketed to boys and were to compliment girl's mystery books like Nancy Drew and the Bobbsy Twins.
This book measures 8" x 5 3/4" and weighs approximately 2 pounds.
