"Nemo the Classic Comics Library" Number 12 June 1985. This edition features the Cartoonists Who Fought World War II with artwork work by George Baker, Dave Breger, Bill Mauldin, Dick Wingert, Boris Artzybasheff and Dick Brooks. Also included are articles on Frank King and Beyond Mars, reproducing numerous episodes of that strip and Rose O Neill the first great female cartoonist creator of the Kewpie Dolls.
Nemo was a magazine devoted to the history and creators of vintage comic strips. Created by comics historian Rick Marschall, it was published between 1983 and 1990 by Fantagraphics. Nemo ran for 31 issues (the last being a double issue) plus one annual. Most issues were edited by Marschall. The title was taken from the classic comic strip Little Nemo.
This vintage comic strip magazine also contains advertisements for Ken Pierce Books, other Fantagraphics Books, The Comics Journal #100 and an ad from The Cartoon Carnival for original Walt Disney cartoon art. This vintage magazine is in very good condition with some very light scuffing on the cover and mildly bumped corners. The pages are clean and the binding is tight.
A great vintage magazine for the comic strip enthusiast or budding illustrator.
