"Giants" was "devised by David Larkin with text by Sarah Teale. Illustrators are Julek Heller, Carolyn Scrace and Juan Wijngaard. This over-sized book was published by Harry Abrams, Inc and copyrighted 1979. It chronicles the history and mythology of giants throughout the ages and gives examples of stories of gigantic creatures throughout written and pictorial history. Profusely illustrated it is a who's who or giant lore.
A snippet of the introduction reads: "Vivid illustrations and descriptions of giants and monsters by the sculptors, artists and writers of old were enhanced appreciably by exaggeration. In Palestine, memorials to primeval giants still exist in the form of vast graves. Noah's tomb in the Lebanon, for example, is seventy yards long. This vintage book has ivory cloth boards and is in very good condition. The pages are clean and the binding is tight. There is a small blue crayon mark on the back cover. Otherwise a great edition of a fun coffee table or art book.
