I Hate To Cook Book was written by Peg Bracken and illustrated by Hilary Knight. This first edition cookbook was published in 1960 and contains more than 180 quick and easy recipes. This book also covers dilemmas in the kitchen like leftovers, last-minute meals, potluck suppers, children's parties and dinners to impress people. There is a chapter of household hints, about burns, how to get juice from a dried-up lemon, how to feed a sick and irritable child and many other bits of information. Comical illustration accompany each chapter.
This hard cover book is complete with its dust jacket and is in very good vintage condition. There is a small tear on the front of the dust jacket that has been repaired with tape and some light scuffing at the edges. The inside of the book is exceptionally clean and the binding is tight.
A great book for the new or experienced cook. An excellent bridal shower or housewarming gift.
