"Feeding The Child For Health", was produced by the California Fruit Growers Exchange in Los Angeles,California and copyrighted 1935. This vintage child development book is complete with charts, recipes and advice on how to raise a healthy baby (including orange juice and many fruits of course). The inside front and back covers have tissue layovers that identify healthy characteristics in the child shown in the photograph below the tissue.
This vintage booklet contains recipes, charts, development of teeth and much more. There are wonderful vintage illustrations and nostalgic photos of babies and families throughout. This is also a vintage baby booklet in that has tracking pages for the development of an individual child. This booklet is partially filled in where a mother was tracking her child's weight as well as filling in his original birth information.
The booklet measures 7 1/2" x 5" and is in good vintage condition with tight staples, tissue intact and a bright cover. As previously stated, there are some pages filled in by a mother and she was obviously having a bad day one day because a blob of ink spilled onto the weight charting page. These types of characteristics give a vintage book life and history.
