The Chummy Book For All Boys And Girls Who Are Good Chums is a collection of stories edited by Edwin Chisholm and published by Thomas Nelson & Sons. It is undated but is estimated to be from the early 1920s by the authors and illustrations included.
It contains wonderful stories and poems and is lushly illustrated by artists such as Edmund Blampied, Lawson Wood, Anne Anderson and a Cicely Steed fairy poem with a color illustration by Topham. Fifteen color plates are intermingled with a myriad of adorable black and white illustrations.
The book has illustrated board covers and is in good/fair condition. The front hinge is cracked but the boards are still secure. There is soiling on the cover and some very light fraying on the bottom of the spine. The pages are immaculate and the colors are bright on all the plates.
An amazing collection of beautiful illustrations as well as stories for the old and the young.
