"Danny Kay's Around The World Story Book" was published by Random House and copyrighted 1960. This beautifully illustrated book is a collection of stories for children that Kay collected from around the world. In the forward Kay writes: "...I have...traveled through almost every country in the world several times and heard quite a few tales--tall, small and indigenous--and met quite a few youngsters of every size, shape and state of mind; and it was in the course of one of my far-flung junkets for UNICEF that is occurred to me how wonderful it would be if it were possible to introduce all the children in the world to all the stories ever told."
The book is divided into chapters by the illustrators. Included are Leonard Everett Fisher, Peter Marks, Loretta Trezzo, Tom O'Sullivan and Anthony D'Adamo. The illustrations are both full color and one color.
The book has blue board covers with a red cloth spine and a red embossed title in. It is 216 pages in length and in very good vintage condition. There is some bumping at the corners but the pages are clean and the binding is tight.
