"Moving Picture Stories -- A Weekly Magazine Devoted to Photo-Plays and Players" is from Aug. 12, 1921 and is volume XVIII. It features "Jackie Coogan - (First National Star)" on the cover. This is one of the first "fan" magazines published when movies first came into the public realm.
This edition features stories and articles including: "The Affairs of Anatol", "Playing a Peculiar Part" and ""Tony" Seeks Local Color".
The photoplay stories are synopsis of a movie complete with a cast listing and film production company. Black and white photographs accompany many of the articles. The "Tony" referred to is Tony Moreno a "Latin Lover" of the time.
This magazine is in fair vintage condition. The paper is somewhat brittle and the pages are yellowed. The cover has some chipping at the corners and spine. The two staple binding is intact but fragile. With all its faults this magazine is still a great collectors item and a rare find.
