White Milk Glass Alligator Covered Dish which was made by Vallerysthal in the 1880's. The Alligator is one of the hardest Animal Covered Dishes to find. This one has been in my collection for many years and is signed Vallerysthal. It is 11" long and still has almost all of the original old paint which is very seldom seen. The Alligator was classified as a trinket box. This one does have some damage - his tail is missing the last 1". I have had him in my collection for many years & just angled him behind another piece so you couldn't even see that the tail was missing. His teeth are in great condition as you can see from the photo. He has a flake at one leg on the lid and a chip/flake on the side of his mouth on the base. I have another Milk Glass Alligator I am selling which doesn't have any paint, but does have his tail. In the insurance cost I have added for adult signature required. This item is too rare to take a chance on incorrect delivery.
