Scarlett O'Hara Barbie Doll in Gone With the Wind Red Velvet Gown Mattel 1994.
This beautiful vintage Barbie Doll resembles Scarlett O’Hara, the primary character from of the 1936 novel, Gone With the Wind, written by Margaret Mitchell. Years later, the story was made into the legendary movie with Academy Award winning, actress Vivien Leigh playing Scarlett.
Scarlett-Barbie has long dark curled hair and is dressed in a lovely deep burgundy velvet gown with a long train. It is adorned with red jewels and has a matching tulle stole accented with burgundy marabou feathers. Her accessories include a red hair jewel, long gold-tone, jeweled earrings with matching bracelet, and burgundy elbow-length gloves. She’s wearing her original, removable black high-heel shoes and old-fashioned white cotton pantaloons, trimmed in white lace, underneath her gown. Her head, arms, and legs are movable. She is quite a beauty!
Doll measures 11-1/2 inches tall and is in excellent, clean condition with no flaws except her hair is a bit tousled and the train of her gown has some loose threads. Both slight issues would require simple adjustments if desired. She did not have her original box when I found her.
