Sterling Restaurant Ware Airbrushed Green Floral Bread and Butter Plate 1950s. This vintage Sterling Restaurant Ware Bread and Butter Plate from the 1950s is made of Vitrified China. It features an airbrushed design of two green flowers surrounded by green leaves with a matching airbrushed rim border against a solid white background. It’s in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing and minor surface wear. Plate measure 6-1/2” diameter.
This design is similar to the Syracuse China’s pattern, Shadowtown Millbrook, but is slightly different since this piece is made by Sterling. Many restaurant china companies have similar patterns but they vary slightly depending on the maker.
Black backstamp reads, “Sterling Vitrified China, East Liverpool Ohio U.S.A.”, with the number, “C4”.
