Hocking Burple Clear 3-Toed Large Dessert Serving Bowls Set of 3 Depression Glass. This unique Depression Glass pattern called Burple was made by Hocking Glass between 1930-1940. It features a series of raised dots in graduated sizes going up and around in a swirled pattern on the sides of these pretty large serving bowls, primarily for desserts. Bowls sit on 3 small rounded feet and have a scalloped rim.
Two large bowls are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or discoloration. One bowl has small rim chip isn't very noticeable due to pattern; glass on all 3 bowls is crystal clear.
Each bowl measures 8-1/2 inches diameter and stands 2-3/4 inches high.
I have a set of 6 matching small dessert bowls in the pretty Burple pattern in my shop also. Last photo shows the small and large dessert bowls together. What a stunning Depression Glass set!
