Mikasa Teapot and Creamer Petit Point A4-183 Bone China Narumi Japan 1974-76 . Lovely vintage Mikasa Bone China Teapot and matching Creamer in their Petit Point Pattern, #A4-183 features bright multicolor flowers resembling a needlepoint pattern with thin green band trim against a crisp white glazed porcelain background. Teapot has a unique shape with straight sides that flare slightly at the bottom, a slightly domed lid with angular handle and spout and it sits on low round base so that edges of teapot do not touch table surface. Small matching creamer has a same body and handle shape.
This charming, colorful pattern was made by Mikasa Narumi - Japan for only two years, 1974 – 1976 making vintage pieces like these hard to find. Both pieces are in pristine / mint condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or damage.
Teapot holds 4 cups and measures 7-1/4 inches tall with lid in place; 7-3/4 inches from tip of spout to outer edge of handle; opening is 4 inches diameter and teapot body flares to 4-7/8 inches diameter at bottom; round base measures 3-5/8 inches diameter.
Creamer measures 3 inches tall; 3-3/4 inches from tip of spout to outer edge of handle; opening is 2 inches diameter and creamer body flares to 2-1/2 at bottom; round base measures 1-3/4 inches diameter.
