Fenton Milk Glass Hobnail Footed Candle Bowl. This beautiful, vintage Hobnail Milk Glass candle bowl was made by Fenton Art Glass. Hobnail is Fenton's Pattern #389 and was introduced in 1939. This piece is unmarked as early Fenton glassware often was, and most likely had a removable label when originally sold. After 1970, Fenton glassware was marked on the bottom with the company's name inside an oval.
Made of quality, heavier Milk Glass, it features the classic Fenton pintle hobnail pattern with a multi-scalloped edge and a center "well", which could hold a candle, could be a serving dish, or could even be used as a large ashtray.
In most excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or discoloration. Measures 8-1/8 inches diameter and is 2 inches tall. Center well is 3-5/8 inches diameter and 1-inch deep.
A beautiful vintage piece to use for parties or special occasions! Add a candle, some greenery or flowers and it becomes a centerpiece. Add dip and colorful fruit pieces, or dip and small chips...it has so many uses and will go with most any decor.
Wonderful addition for a Fenton Art Glass collection - displays beautifully!
