Youngsville, PA Historical Blue and White Souvenir Plate by Kettle Springs Kilns 1963. This lovely Blue and White Transferware Souvenir Plate was made to commemorate the 150th year - Sesquicentennial Celebration in Youngsville, Pennsylvania. Marked on the back, "KettleSprings Kilns in Alliance, OH" and numbered "1231-S".
It has "1813 Youngsville Pennsylvania Sesquicentennial August 11 - 17, 1963" and "Biggest Little Town on the Map" with graphics of Youngsville's Recreation, Furniture Manufacturing, Government, Schools and Churches, and Retail Merchants.
Around the border of the plate are 6 different detailed views of churches in Youngsville including Saron Lutheran Church, Free Methodist Church, St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, First Evangelical United Brethren Church, Methodist Church, and St. Lukes Catholic Church. On the back, there is an interesting narrative which gives details of Youngsville's history.
In MINT condition and measures 10-1/4 inches diameter. Please disregard any glare in photos - this plate displays beautifully!
