In the 1950's multiple companies attempted to compete with the popularity of Vogue's Ginny Doll. One of the best competitors was the Virga Creations Toddler Dolls manufactured by Beehler Arts Ltd. These Virga Dolls were not marked with the manufacturer's name but were known by their "T-Strap" molded shoes.
The 8" dolls are almost as pretty as Ginny but were made to be more affordable. This Virga is a walker and her head turns with the movement of her legs She is one of the Playmate dolls. Her lovely pink dress has pinafore sleeves and matching bloomer style panties. The style of the dress and its snap were known to these dolls. The snap is closed and very stuck. This doll came with a bow in her hair that is still present. Her eyes open and close. Her limbs are not as tight as when she was new and though not extremely loose she doesn't hold a standing alone position well. A doll stand will be included for display. She's beautiful to display. Her hair is in very good condition. It's a bit flattened in the back from laying on it but her flip style is still present. Her cheeks are blushed, her lips are red, and her startling blue eyes are clear.
The last few photo shows this doll with a Strombecker chair that is already sold.
