This Victorian Era antique photograph is from the very late 1800's. The toddler sitting in the chair is a child named Catherine. Standing beside of her in the heavily carved high back chair may be Catherine's sibling--an older sister. This pose of baby Catherine as a little girl is part of a series of photographs that were all taken at the same time. Many photographs of Catherine and her brother Hugh were acquired as a group with the benefit of access to names and dates and the ability to put them on somewhat of a time line. (Most have sold).
This picture is centered on a 5 1/2" x 7 1/4" heavy mat board that is signed with the name of the studio (D. Rosser)of Pittsburgh, PA. The mat and the actual photograph are in Excellent Condition.
