Here is Vogue's handsome Jeff Doll in his hard to find Tweed Sport Jacket (#6334) with box, his "Car Coat" and Tweed Cap (# 6361)! Jeff brings with him multiple pieces of clothing!
Vogue produced this teenage boy doll in the late 1950's as Ginnette, Jill, and Ginny's Big Brother and Jan's Boyfriend. The 11" all vinyl Jeff came with limited outfits. Though his athletic wardrobe is often the hardest to find, certainly next to those would have to be this "Car Coat" and Tweed Cap as well as the Tweed Jacket.
We have been lucky enough to have found this Tweed Jacket twice recently. This Tweed Jacket (#6334) comes with its correct box. The tagged coat is in Excellent Condition! The box shows minimal wear with the cellophane still intact. The sports coat / jacket can be dressed up or down and was made to go with multiple pairs of pants like his jeans, chinos, or his dress black pants.
His Tweed Sports Jacket looks handsome with his white dress shirt (Vogue tag present), bow tie, and dress black pants! His dress shirt and pants are Excellent!
Jeff looks quite the poet with his tagged black jersey shirt, his jeans, and the Tweed Jacket and Cap. Jeff's jeans are in Excellent (Minty) Condition. His tagged jersey shirt shows some wear ...as if it has been worn enough to have become quite comfortable!
His khaki or tan colored all weather coat is lined with a scotch plaid fabric. The coat has real buttonholes with toggle buttons and carries the Vogue tag inside. This coat has two small stains on the bottom left front but otherwise remains in Good Condition. This coat came with the Tweed Ivy League Cap (that matches the sports jacket). The hat is in Excellent Condition. Jeff is featured in this tan coat and cap in the Vogue Doll Collector's Encyclopedia (Izen & Stover) page 241.
Under his coat, Jeff wears outfit # 6132; his jeans (referred to as dungarees back then) and the black jersey shirt.
Jeff also has a pair of black loafers in Very Good Condition. They show some light wear but are without the rips or tears that are often found today.
He also has his original boxer shorts. The shorts and their elastic remains in Excellent Condition.
This Jeff remains quite handsome with his facial coloring cheerful and intact. His sparkling eyes open and close as they should. His sculpted brown hair has light wear with occasional rubs. He has the often found light blue line (very light) where his jeans faded on his waist and a few marks of time but he is in overall great condition!
**Just a note: Vogue put their clothing tags in the shirts or tops of an outfit and outer wear (coats) but not in Jeff's pants that came with a tagged top or shirt.
