This rocker seat was manufactured by Strombecker in the late 1950's especially for Vogue's 8" Ginnette Baby Doll. The rocker (#7795) was called a "Shoo-Fly". It is personalized with Ginnette's name and carries the same motif of pastel colored animals as her crib and chest of drawers. The rocker was first sold in 1957 and numbered 7795 and came out again in 1958-1959 as #2851. This rocker is in great condition with very little wear.
Strombecker created their own line of furniture for 8" dolls that were also solid wood but were unpainted. The furniture that Strombecker created specifically for Vogue's Ginnette was painted this creamy white and decorated with her name in pink. Ginnette's furnishings are decorated with a Teddy Bear, Turtle, and Elephant in pastels.
There is light scuffing to the elephant on the left side and someone put a piece of white tape on the side of the front bar, otherwise the rocking seat remains in exceptionally good condition. The rocker seat is just perfect for Ginnette!
The last photo shows other pieces of Ginnette's furniture that are available at the time of this listing and are being sold separately. Ginnette will also be listed separately.
