Vogue Dolls first 8" Ginnette Baby Doll had painted eyes. The painted eye (PE) doll was first manufactured in 1955 and was last manufactured in 1959. The Ginnette PE had a twin brother named Jimmy (see Jimmy also listed in this shop). Ginnette's blue overalls with the gingham checked blouse (# 2131) that Ginnette is wearing here coordinates with the pair for her twin brother. She carries the Vogue Doll's mark midback
This Ginnette is in Excellent Condition. Her molded hair, painted eyes, and rosy cheeks and bottle ready lips remain colorful and in wonderful condition.
Her (# 2131) Blue Overalls and Gingham Checked Blouse with lace trim also remain in Excellent Condition and have retained their Vogue Dolls tag within the blouse as manufactured.
Ginnette is wearing a pair of coordinating blue Mary Jane style shoes that are personalized with her name on the heel and are also in Excellent functioning condition. Her shoes and a pair of original blue nylon socks come with their box. The box is in very good condition with the cellophane intact. The socks show some age tanning. Ginnette is actually wearing newer socks that are a better fitting version.
She will also come with one of her flannelette polka dot ribbon tie diapers and her original pink and white heart shaped plastic rattler. The ribbon and lace headband is not original to Ginnette but gives her short sculpted hair more of a girlish look-- especially when she is displayed next to her twin brother Jimmy.
Ginnette is living in a Smoke Free environment waiting for her adoption and is odor free. (The last photo shows Ginnette sitting in a rocking chair. The chair is not included here but is listed separately.)
