So cute and hard to find; "No Eyelash" Jimmy in his Valentine's Day shorts outfit!
In 1958 Vogue introduced Ginny's 8" baby brother and Ginnette's twin brother; Jimmy. Jimmy is very much the same doll as Ginnette (the painted eye version). Jimmy was introduced to retailers in pamphlets without eyelashes and apparently was intended to be sold that way. However, according to one of the leaders within Vogue Dolls, [they] "were just so busy that year that we just grabbed whichever painted eye doll was close and dressed it in Jimmy's clothes." Jimmy had only six outfits and was produced for one year only. Just like his sister he carries the Vogue Doll Inc. imprint on his mid-back.
This Jimmy is in Excellent Condition. His painted eyes remain fully intact. He is clean and has all of his fingers and toes. Jimmy has a couple of rubs to his sculpted hair but remains a wonderful example of the "No Eyelash, Painted Eye" Jimmy Doll.
Jimmy's denim shorts and red checked shirt are in Excellent Condition and of the outfit # 4330. His little shorts are trimmed in red rick rack, have a big red heart on the "seat", and offer elastic that works, as it should, at each leg and at his waist. His red and white gingham checked shirt fastens with a snap and carries the Vogue tag. Jimmy's ever so cute Engineer's type cap is Mommy (custom) made. His hat is in the same style as his original but is a darker denim. It is perfectly new.
Jimmy is wearing original Vogue socks and has a pair of unmarked white shoes as he never had shoes with his own name. He is currently living in a smoke free environment with his sisters who are also available in this shop!
*The baby blocks are included if desired--though not pictured, the blocks now spell his name out correctly...I found the "Y".
