Oh so pretty! Ginnette Baby Doll with her very first outfit (#001) and many other accessories!
Vogue began production of Ginny's little sister Ginnette in 1955. By 1956 the 8" Ginnette had evolved from a painted eye version to an open and close "Sleep Eye" Doll with molded lashes like this pretty baby. This Ginnette's sculpted hair is fully intact and her open and close eyes are bright and sparkling blue. She has rosy cheeks and bottle ready lips. She is evenly colored from head to toe. She has a small dark spot on her right eyelid that is seen only when her eyes are closed. Her eyes open and close on their own as they should. Like all true Vogue Ginnette dolls she carries the Vogue Doll's name imprinted on her back.
Ginnette's 1955 #001 outfit; the pretty baby blue pique, lace trimmed, top and bottom are trimmed with pink baby rick rack and pink satin ribbon bows. In the 1950's. this ribbon tie blouse and pantie diaper cover were referred to as a Sacque. This outfit is "MINTY" with it's Medford, Mass. Vogue tag intact.
Ginnette's party sundress does not carry a Vogue tag and may not be from that company. Untagged, unidentified clothing is not usually listed with Ginnettes in this shop but this little dress is so very cute, much like her style of dresses, and in Mint Condition. Ginnette is irresistible in this peachy pink nylon dress with blue ribbon bows. Her dress goes so nicely with her blue felt coat and bonnet.
The blue felt pom pom bonnet and coat are from 1956 (#6741). Ginnette is so hoping for cool weather that she begged her Mommy to let her wear her favorite coat and hat inside her air conditioned home! Her coat fits nicely over her dress and the blue bonnet coordinates nicely with her dress. The coat closes at the neck with a hook and eye and offers a gored pattern back. The coat also carries the Medford, Mass Vogue tag. Both hat and coat are in Very Good Condition without problems noted.
Ginnette comes with a pair of white socks and a personalized pair of blue Mary Jane style shoes that coordinate with her "Sacque," Coat, and her Party Dress. She has her cheerful pink and white diaper to go under her dress. Her flannelette diaper features a Teddy Bear with an umbrella in the rain. This diaper comes from her 1957 Diaper Pak (#7764) and is Excellent. She also has a blue and white polka dot diaper to match her sleeper. This diaper is also in Excellent Condition and came from her 1955 Diaper Pak #710.
When she is tired, Ginnette is ready to be snuggled in her zip up flannelette sleeper #711. Her sleeper retains its original ribbon that ties at the neck. This #711 sleeper sack from 1955 also carries the Medford, Mass. Vogue tag though the tag is quite worn.. Ginnette's favorite nightie is soft and and oh so comfy!
Ginnette lives in a smoke free environment and is odor free. She is living with other members of the Vogue Doll Family available in this shop.
