1950s Vogue Ginnette Baby Doll Toter Carrier
From the 1950's, this sweet pink baby doll carrier by Vogue has Ginnette's name embroidered on the front. The carrier has a pretty rose bud print inside. It zips open and closed to place Ginnette inside. Like a portable bed, two plastic handles assist in carrying the baby doll and keeping her level while inside. The Toter is shown in a Vogue Brochure from 1956 and was numbered # 6750.
Still in Very Nice Condition, the carrier is clean and shows little signs of use. One handle end has been mended or re-sewn to the carrier and is very secure. (It is only detected because the thread is a slightly lighter shade of pink and it was hand sewn.) The zipper functions without difficulty. No rips, tears or real wear to the plastic is found. A few scuffs are noted on the bottom and shown in a photo. The carrier is 9 1/2" long and 4" wide. It is 2 " tall and tapers up to 2 1/2" (with the head portion folded down.)
The Ginnette Doll shown is a model only and is not included with the Toter. If you wish to purchase Ginnette, there are currently two available in this shop.
