The word MINT is not often used in my descriptions but this Jill Doll in her wedding gown and veil (# 7515) is in Mint Condition and is a very uncommon find. The original box shows wear but it has done its job of protecting the Bride and her gown--the cellophane is still intact!
Jill has pretty deep blue eyes that open and close. Her "skin" and facial coloring is Excellent. She is wearing her "Mother of Pearl" heart earrings which are so perfect for her wedding day!
All of her limbs move and her knees bend. Jill's hair has retained its style very well though a little flat in the back from laying on her back a number of years. Her barrettes are still in place. She is wearing undies, her long slip, white shoes, and her strapless gown with tulle and lace. Jill's head piece has a few flowers, ribbon, and a tea length lovely veil.
Jill's bouquet of several flowers are bagged and taped inside of her box. The photos of her in her wedding gown, on page 213 of Izen and Stover's Encyclopedia of Vogue Dolls, show Jill with two different types of bouquets and these simple flowers appear to be like one of those shown.
Jill has the identifying Vogue Dolls mark appropriate for 1957; without "Inc." being part of the mark.
She lives in a smoke free environment with other members of the Vogue Doll family and is a wonderful find!
