Vintage 1920 to 30's Valentine Steam Train Engine EngineerVintage 1920 to 30's Valentine Steam Train Engine EngineerVintage 1920 to 30's Valentine Steam Train Engine Engineer

All Aboard! The romance of trains and the railroad certainly lent itself to Valentines of the early 1900's.

This sweet stand up Valentine features a train conductor in a Steam Engine for the Heart Line Rail Road. The engineer is leaning out of his window waving at a pretty potential passenger in a 1920's type of cloche hat and her leather luggage of the era. The verse: "Let me be your Engineer / I'd like to travel far and near / with you my Valentine."

The Valentine offers a lot of cute detail with hearts within the train wheels, "Stacks of Love" written under the smoke stacks, Heart Line R. R. on the train's side, hearts on the girl's luggage, and another one at her puppy's neck. This Valentine is in Excellent condition though used with a "To and From" written in pencil on the back. The card folds and then unfolds for standing and offers a three dimensional display. The embossed card is lovely with colors brilliant. Light discoloration on the back. Edges and corners in great shape! The card is 4 1/2" x 3 5/8" folded and opens another two inches : 4 1/2" x 5 5/8", for display.
